Sylvia Kölbl was born in 9th October 1949 in Vienna, Austria. She studied veterinary medicine in Vienna. She had no education in art, but painting is her passion since childhood. She had five solo exhibitions and participated in more than 90 group exhibitions in different countries since 2013. Her works belong to private and public collections in Austria, Slovakia and Germany.

She is an awarded artist. She is a member of vetart-artforum, public artists and Galeriestudio 38.
