Maria G. Tabet is a Lebanese visual artist whose work reflects her ongoing search for meaning amid uncertainty. Drawing from personal experience and the shifting realities of life in Lebanon, she explores how people navigate fear, hope, and resilience.
Over more than a decade of practice, Tabet has experimented with diverse materials — including paint, metal, wood, and video — to create works that transform personal and collective anxiety into vivid visual narratives. Influenced by the tensions of life in Lebanon, her art reflects dark or morbid ideas through bright colors, confronting the contradictions of beauty and despair in a life that glorifies the absurd.
Through her creative process, Tabet seeks to cope, understand and translate the complex emotions of existence. She has participated in several local exhibitions in Lebanon, as well as international and solo group shows and biennales around the world.
