Camille Delamarre is a French filmmaker, editor, photographer, and painter, born in 1979. A multidisciplinary artist, he has made his mark on international cinema while developing a deeply personal and universal body of visual art.
Delamarre began his career as a film editor, working on major successes such as Taken 2. These experiences honed his sense of rhythm, composition, and visual storytelling.
He transitioned to directing with large-scale action films, including "Brick Mansions" (2014) starring Paul Walker, "The Transporter: Refueled" (2015), and "Assassin Club" (2023) featuring Henry Golding and Noomi Rapace.
Influenced by filmmakers like Tony Scott, he blends dynamic action with emotional resonance, delivering a distinctly modern and precise visual style. Parallel to his cinematic career, Camille Delamarre passionately devotes himself to painting, which he describes as a vital necessity.
Over the years, he has built a collection of over fifty works, exploring themes such as solitude, nature, and identity.
Drawing inspiration from his family—filmmakers, painters, and his grandfather, sculptor Raymond Delamarre — he combines abstraction and figuration with vibrant palettes and sharp contrasts. Notable works such as "In the Mood", "Chabadabada", and "Fragment of Light" embody his exploration of the balance between chaos and harmony, calm and intensity. Whether through the lens of a camera or the brushstroke of a painting, Delamarre strives to provoke a universal emotion. His work invites viewers into a space of reflection and connection, celebrating the depth and beauty of human experience.
