About Svetlana

From an early age, Svetlana found herself walking a different path, one that would ultimately lead her to a profound artistic journey.

However, becoming an artist was not an instant realization. Over the years, she played various roles – a parent, a partner, and a provider – all of which distracted her from her artistic calling. It was only during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, a tiher of introspection and self-discovery, that her artistic soul awakened. Art found her once again, and this time, it took over with a desirable force.

As a self-taught artist, she is driven to explore a multitude of techniques and mediums, each one a gateway to a different world, much like her childhood escape through drawing. Imagination and the creation of something unique have always been treasures she hold dear and aim to achieve. Svetlana allows herself to be exposed to a diverse range of art forms, from traditional acrylic paintings that are evolving into mixed media, to window painting, metal art painting, and mural creation.

Despite the many challenges that life presents, she continues to explore the depths of her artistic self. Her journey as an artist is an ongoing odyssey, a testament to the power of resilience and the unwavering desire to express the soul's deepest needs. Through her art, she hopes to inspire others to explore their own unique paths and find solace in the boundless world of creativity.

Artist Statement

Art has changed how Svetlana sees the world. It lets her express things that are hard to put into words or actions. When she creates art, she pays attention to the signs and symbols around her, turning them into meaningful pieces that reflect her thoughts. This not only lets her express herself but also helps her understand the world better.

Exploring a diverse array of techniques and materials has been instrumental in giving life to her distinctive artworks, each crafted with the intention to communicate with viewers on a profound level. Recently, her artistic journey has taken a textured turn, as she began incorporating rich layers into her paintings, coupled with images imbued with compelling narratives.

She thrives on exploring and experimenting with unconventional materials, constantly seeking new discoveries. By incorporating these elements into her work. She aims to challenge conventional perspectives and inspire fresh dialogue, encouraging viewers to embrace novel ways of encountering and interpreting art.

Colors play a big role in her art. Each color carries its own emotion. Using certain colors sets the mood of the artwork. Warm colors bring energy, while cooler tones bring calmness. She purposefully chooses colors to evoke specific emotions, aiming to create a visual experience that goes deeper and connects with the viewer on an emotional level.

Selected artwork extends an invitation to viewers to delve into the universal human experience of confronting challenges and obstacles. Through these works, she aims to prompt reflection on the nature of personal struggles, offering solace in the realization that we inherently possess the resilience to endure, overcome, and emerge from the depths of our trials with a heightened understanding of our own strength.

Creating art is like a comforting escape for her. It's a space where she feels in control and can bring her thoughts and feelings to life. Turning emotions into tangible art brings a sense of accomplishment. Seeing others connect with her work is reassuring, showing that there's a shared understanding of the human experience.
