Daniela Rivas (San Salvador, 1993) is an architect and contemporary textile artist. A graduate of the Central American University (UCA), she spent nine years working in architecture and interior design before founding NAVIR in 2020 — a contemporary textile art studio envisioned as a dialogue between art, design, and memory.

Her artistic philosophy embraces the handmade as an act of resistance, beauty, and remembrance. Through NAVIR, Daniela transforms threads, time, and tradition into pieces that inhabit spaces with soul, weaving a bridge between the ancestral and the contemporary. Her work honors the patience and legacy of the women artisans she collaborates with, where every knot becomes a gesture toward the future.

In October 2025, she unveiled her most recent collection, Blooming from the Wounds, inaugurated at the Palacio Tecleño in Santa Tecla, La Libertad. The month-long exhibition offered a deep reflection on resilience and the beauty that emerges from vulnerability.

Her creations can be found in distinguished international spaces, including her collaboration with Starbucks in Antigua Guatemala, installations in San Martín restaurants in El Salvador, and partnerships with international luxury brands.

With a poetic, ethical, and deeply aesthetic vision, Daniela Rivas conceives textile art as a living language — one where tradition blossoms into the global, celebrating human connection through material, time, and intention.

Artist Statement – Brand Manifesto

NAVIR believes in the power of handmade work as an act of resistance, beauty, and memory. Its textile pieces merge tradition and contemporaneity, transforming threads and time into unique works that bring soul to spaces. Through the hands of skilled artisans and an artistic vision expressed in color and organic forms, NAVIR celebrates patience, honors legacy, and envisions the future. More than a brand, NAVIR is a community, a story, and an offering to the world.

Daniela envisions luxury as a personalized experience, where art is felt, not just seen. Natural fibers, colors, and textures shape a sensory universe that transcends materiality. These are pieces that speak for themselves, capturing the magic of the moment. This is how a new language is born— where tradition and modernity merge with purpose.

Institutional Collaborations & Commissioned Projects

  • Commissioned two monumental textile artworks for the flagship Starbucks in Antigua Guatemala.

  • Created large-scale pieces for San Martín (restaurant & bakery chain) in multiple El Salvador locations.

  • Ongoing collaboration with a leading international luxury fashion house (undisclosed), developing exclusive textile installations for their global retail spaces.
