Laura Tijsterman (b.30-05-1975) is a dutch/british abstract expressionist. Expressing herself through art most of her life. Born in the UK, Laura moved to The Netherlands at the age of 15.
She now lives in a small village close to Eindhoven, The Netherlands. She has five children, the two youngest are non-speaking autistic. She has developed a creative home environment for herself and her children (music, -art and -garden therapy). She also has a bachelor in ‘autism knowledge and coaching’ and is currently studying ‘creative therapy’.
Her intuition and life's experiences guide her to pick up a brush or pencil and make art through her (sub)conscious mind; she is also inspired by music. Most of her paintings hold a double entendre.
At the moment she is embracing her female sensuality, which to the eye of the beholder may be seen in her latest paintings.
