Guille Garrido, a Latin American visual artist born in Chile, was trained in the Chilean counterculture of the seventies and eighties and studied Music, Visual Arts and Literature in different academic fields.
He has ventured into various genres of plastic arts, including visual poetry, expressionism, conceptual art, performance, Informalism, installation, scenography, drawing, painting and graphics. He has participated in more than 70 art exhibitions and actions, both collective and individual, in his country of origin and different places around the world.
His work is a testament to his ability to intertwine multiple cultural currents, creating a constant dialogue between the past and the present with a visual language full of spontaneity and power of attraction.
Guille Garrido's visual work masterfully explores the intricate labyrinth of the unconscious, addressing universal archetypes and the great themes of human existence, all imbued with a subtle touch of irony and a palpable sense of suspense.
