This is Catherine Conway and she is a visual artist from Dublin, Ireland. She loves to paint and sketch and her art skills have come to the fore more strongly in recent years, as she has the time to develop them.
She enjoys experimenting with different tools, mediums and surfaces. Her most used mediums include watercolours, acrylics, cold wax and oils, and she works on different surfaces of canvas boards, deep edge canvases, watercolour paper, wooden boards and slates.
She does commission work which she enjoys making personal for her clients through intricate details and she enjoys palette knife work mostly for the freedom of it.
She is involved in exhibitions, both locally and around the country, specifically in counties Dublin, Kildare, Kerry and County Mayo.
She is a regular contributor to charity, as she likes to give something back, to help through the 'Incognito' fundraising efforts, annually, for the charity 'Jack and Jill Foundation' which is very close to her heart.
She is a member of the A.I.B. Arts Society and she takes part in outdoor painting with the Fingal Plein Air Group. She enjoys working in Botanical Art at Dublin City University where she was part of an exhibition in 2022. She also does hand printing with D.C.U. which came about this year and she does an amount of upcycling furniture when time allows.
She has been very busy this year with exhibitions in County Kerry and County Kildare and with Christmas looming she is preparing for an exhibition starting early December in her hometown of Dublin.
She hopes you like her work!
