Artist Statement

<<Immersion in the world of art for me began with art therapy. This technique USES art and creativity to identify hidden feelings and emotions that impede living in harmony.

In my work with acrylic on canvas I try to connect consciousness and subconsciousness, feelings and mind. I write emotions of a person who is in stress and internal conflict with himself. I want to visualize destruction such as fear, anxiety, despair, doubt, spiritual emptiness and pain.

In my works I try to call associations that reveal this negative in a person's mind. I try to acquaint the audience with myself and my inner self, to understand myself and thereby learn to manage the Settings of my inner world.

I like the style of symbolism with elements of surrealism. Images, symbols and other artistic techniques express a range of deep human emotions and help reveal the essence of my works.

I invite the audience to dialogue and psychological reboot, give an opportunity to assess the reflection of their own mental discomfort. One such technique is my use of a geometric puzzle figure, such as a bright accent or an encrypted key.

Correctly selected puzzles are easy to fold and give a clear idea of the meaning and content of the image. This is the right solution.

I adhere to the concept that recognizing the problem is half the success in solving it.

Awareness and acceptance of their negative feelings and emotions helps to form true and sincere positive motives and memories, to bring them out of the depth of consciousness and to direct them towards emotional liberation and relaxation.

“The ultimate goal of all human activity is peace”, said Freud. This is the main goal of my creativity: rehabilitation and transformation into emotionally healthy feelings and emotions.>> (Alisa Chernova)
